Scentry — Smell Training ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how the App handles information. The short version: Scentry runs entirely on your device and collects no personal data.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
- Your recovery data never leaves your device. The App has no servers that hold user data, and it does not require — or include — a network connection to function.
- We do not collect, upload, transmit, or store your training sessions, ratings, parosmia logs, or any other content.
- The App has no account, no sign-up, and no login. There is nothing to identify you.
- The App contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
2. Data We Store Locally
Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, stored on-device via SwiftData. This includes:
- Training history: Sessions completed, the scents used, per-scent timestamps, and your intensity and clarity ratings.
- Parosmia distortion log: What you expected vs. what you perceived, your pleasantness ratings, and your safe-vs-trigger food flags.
- Preferences: Your scent set, reminder schedule, and display settings.
- Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.
This data is removed when you delete the corresponding entry inside the App, or when you delete the App from your device.
3. Permissions We Request
- Notifications (optional): Used only to send the gentle training reminders you schedule. You can decline this prompt, or disable notifications later in iOS Settings, and the rest of the App still works.
The App does not request the microphone, camera, photo library, contacts, location, or HealthKit. Smell training is a physical exercise with real scents — the App only records the ratings you type in.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses a single third-party service:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages the optional Premium subscription and purchases. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your payment details.
There are no other third-party services. No advertising network, no analytics provider, no cloud backend.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All training history, parosmia logs, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- No data is transmitted to or stored on our servers — we operate no servers that hold user data.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- The App's core features work completely offline, including in Airplane Mode.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we have no personal data to sell. We do not share your training history or parosmia logs with any third party. Any export you create (the ENT PDF or CSV) is generated on-device and shared only where you choose to send it via the iOS share sheet.
7. Your Rights
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in full control. You can:
- Delete individual training sessions or distortion entries inside the App
- Delete the App to remove all local history, logs, and preferences
- Disable Notifications from iOS Settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is not intended to collect data from children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal data from anyone, this is enforced by design.
9. Medical Disclaimer
Scentry is a self-tracking and education tool, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. The data you record is self-reported and is not a clinical measurement. Always consult your doctor or ENT specialist about your symptoms and recovery.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
